Welcome!

My name is Jordan Davis. I am a scholar working in comparative philosophy focused on early Chinese and Greco-Roman thought. My current research revolves around ancient moral psychology and the crossroads between ancient cosmology and ethics. I currently reside in China where I have lived since 2007.

My undergraduate degree was completed at Long Island University’s Global College (now known as LIU Global), where I spent three semesters in China at Zhejiang University. After completing my undergraduate, I decided to stay. I spent the next five years self-studying modern and ancient Chinese, and then pursued a master’s degree in ancient Chinese literature at Fudan University. Following the completion of my Master’s degree, I pursued a doctorate in Chinese Philosophy at Zhejiang University.

I completed my doctorate in the spring of 2022 and currently hold a postdoctoral position at East China Normal University in Shanghai.
